Formulas vs Functions in Excel.
We often use terms formula and functions in Microsoft Excel, what is the basic difference between formula and function:
Formulas : When we manually type addition and other fundamental rules of calculation in Microsoft excel, this can be said as formula in Microsoft excel
Functions : Functions are already available formulas in excel and it makes formulas much simpler to the use. There are lots of functions in Microsoft Excel.
the above image is Function Library and user can find the it by typing
Press "ALT" key From Key Board and then Type "M" Button. Then You will Find The window like this:
You can find the difference when you type Alt and M. You can see that
F U R I L and so on just below the icon of functions and when you type the same key mentioned you will reach to that specific option.
For Example : "
Going to Text Function
ALT and Then "M" key and then "T"
and by selecting any function. It makes simple to reach function bar.
